Best forDevelopers who want sending, receiving and campaigns behind one API keyTeams who want marketing, CRM and transactional email from one vendor

Facts checked on against each company’s public pricing and documentation.

When to choose which

Where Brevo wins

Brevo reaches further than email. Campaigns, contacts, a CRM and conversations live in the same account, so a small team that would otherwise buy three products can buy one, and their API covers all of it. They publish three official SDKs while ours are still coming. Their developer documentation is also unusually well set up for assistants: Markdown at every URL, an llms.txt index and an MCP server.

The verdict

This one is hard to settle on price, and the page says so rather than guessing: Brevo builds its plan table in the browser, so on the day we checked nothing about the free plan, the entry price or the cost of extra mail could be read from the page itself. What is comparable is the product. Both sign webhooks, both receive inbound mail, both publish an MCP server and Markdown documentation. Choose Brevo if you want marketing, CRM and email from one vendor; choose Rasket if email is the whole job and you want replay, versioned templates and a published price you can read without a browser.

Questions

Rasket and Brevo. What people ask before they switch.

Is Rasket a good alternative to Brevo?

It is, if what you want is an email API rather than a marketing suite. Rasket publishes its prices as text you can read, replays webhook events from the dashboard, versions templates and keeps thirty days of history on the self-serve plans. Brevo covers ground Rasket does not — campaigns, a CRM, conversations. On the day we checked, Brevo's pricing page rendered its plan table in the browser, so the price rows of our table say Not published rather than a number we could not read.

Does Brevo include inbound email?

Brevo: Yes. Inbound parse webhooks, documented in their developer guide. Rasket receives mail at your own domain on every plan, including the free one, and delivers each message to a signed webhook with its headers, text, HTML and attachments.

Which is cheaper at 50,000 emails a month?

We cannot say, and would rather not invent it. On the day we checked, Brevo's pricing page built its plan table in the browser, so no price could be read from the page. Rasket is $20 a month for 50,000 emails with extra mail at $0.60 per thousand. Read Brevo's pricing page yourself for their figure at that volume.

Does Rasket have an SMTP relay?

Yes. Point any app that sends over SMTP at smtp.rasket.com on port 465 or 587, with the username rasket and an API key as the password, and each message becomes an ordinary API send: the same verified domains, suppressions, quota and webhooks. Moving an SMTP integration is a change of host and credentials, not of code.

Can I migrate from Brevo to Rasket?

Add the domain in Rasket and publish the generated DKIM, SPF and DMARC records; nothing about that stops Brevo sending in the meantime. Then move transactional sends to POST /emails, or point an SMTP mailer at smtp.rasket.com with the username rasket and a Rasket key, and rebuild the templates you use as Rasket templates with typed variables, published as a version. Inbound parse webhooks become a Rasket receiving domain and one signed webhook; contacts come across as a CSV import. If you are using Brevo's campaign tooling, plan that part separately — a Rasket campaign covers sending to a segment, not a CRM.

Which is better for AI agents?

Both, genuinely. Brevo publishes an MCP server, Markdown at every developer documentation URL and an llms.txt index; Rasket publishes an MCP server with seven toolsets, a setup skill, Markdown twins, llms.txt and llms-full.txt. The distinction is scope again: Brevo's surface spans a marketing platform, so an agent has more to get right, where Rasket's is email and stops there.
